From the preliminary snippets coming out of the Court, it sounds like at least 5 are receptive to the argument that what Gore/Bois are doing is harmful to the country. I would look for that matter to be fully discussed before they make a decision. Riding on technicalities, obscure, imagined, fabricated, or whatever, will no longer help Herr Bois, IMO. He has his cheap thrill from four idiots in Tallahassee yesterday. It's time for the grown ups to clean up their mess...

"To stop the counting of legal votes, the majority today departs from" the rules of judicial restraint, Justice John Paul Stevens wrote on behalf of the dissenters.

When I read the words, "judicial restraint," I about had a stroke. What unbelievable chutzpah! To defend the biggest slap in the face of judicial restraint by invoking it is staggering in its hypocrisy. Like the guy who killed his parents and pleaded for mercy on the grounds he was an orphan.

Was anyone else blown away by this?

I wonder if he
can appeal to the International Court of Justice in the Haague?

Don't give him any ideas! If the Warsaw Pact still existed he'd probably ask for their intervention to save Democracy, as Nato did in Kosovo.

Clinton is getting worried -- his pardon for the forthcoming Ray indictment hangs in the balance here. Also, if Bush gets into the White House, how long do you think it will take to get those missing emails into Burton's hands?

Including the emails where Gore explicitly talks about the fundraiser at the Buddist temple.
