58 vote pickup according to boise who just violated judge lewis order no to release totals until completed. Gov Pataki just said those number were erroneous and without also violation judge lewis' order he said what he saw while observing the dade vote was the opposite result.

Don't forget that the only precincts that Miami-Dade had counted were heavily Democratic precincts. The remaining precincts tend to be heavily Republican precincts, especially the Cuban-American precincts who hate Clinton-Gore. I think it is a myth that Gore has a "treasure trove" of votes in Miami-Dade. I also believe that the canvassing board discontinued the hand recounts when they reached the Cuban-American precincts, as it became apparent they weren't helping Gore.

re: 'This saga would make a good Kafka novel (except it's too long)'

'The Plague' wasn't too long?! You're a glutton for it ;)

I think the actual Bubonic plague was briefer.

P.s. Appears HK and Naz futures up smartly. Just to keep Friday's gain would be nice, but to double it thru Monday... ah 'money won is twice as sweet as money earned.' I'm all in at 39-40 range.
