>>The democrats have already said that they picked up 36 votes<<
I heard it was 58. And they weren't supposed to say anything. Apparently the Leon County judge specifically instructed that no part of the recount would be divulged, formally or informally, until the count was complete.

**OT**

BUT now listen to the nonsense from the FLA supreme court. The palm beach county officials said that there was a difference of 176 votes, but the FLA supreme courts added 215 votes in that county. Can't these guys not hide their judicial aggression ?

Not to mention that they added the partial handcount of Democratic precincts in Miami-Dade and did not order the rest of the county (52% for Bush) to be handcounted, only the undervotes.

And what about the overvotes in the counties with optical scanners. Some voters filled in the bubble beside their candidate's name and also wrote-in that candidate's name -- thus, an overvote. Why disenfranchise them?

Both candidates are hypocrites. Bush should have done the honorable thing and agreed to a statewide recount to really legitimize his Presidency. Gore should have requested handcounts in ALL of the counties instead of handpicked, heavily Democratic counties; that undermines his mantra of wanting to count all the votes.
