Barry,

The spirit of the US constitution is that that states have the right to conduct their own elections. This is VERY important to the balance of power, I don't think anyone wants Washington to have control of our vote. The US Supreme Court may be able to stop the election process in Florida on a perceived rule of law, but that doesn't make any difference. Thay have effectively blocked our state process, and put us beyond the deadline to name our electors by our own method.

It's easy to say we are all one country when it's not your state that has been overruled. There were two possibilities, Florida could name their electors, or the US Supreme Court could make our decision, prematurely, when we needed less than 24 hours to complete our vote. The second has happened. If it was your state, would you feel good about that?
