What Gore asked for is not a recount, but a new count, based on different rules from the normal count. He asked to count "dimple chads" that were only counted in 1 county and partially in another. If the FSC had set absolute standards with no dimples and insisted upon a recount of Broward and those votes that had been already counted in miami, the USSC may have actually allowed this recount. But it appeared to the USSC that the fix was in by 4 justices at the FSC. To gain more credibility which has been injured this morning by the partial reccount + the democrat illegal leak of a gain of 58 votes by gore(disputed), Bush should speak tonight and say he will abide by the USSC decision on Monday regardless of whether it is in his favor or not. He should also annnouned that he would ask the Florida legislature not to appoint electors.
