Why can't you or Ellen ever admit anything?<<< From my view, what's fair is fair; what's not is not. It's not a matter of admitting anything. >>>While it's true that Gore never said toss the votes, you and I both know he wanted them tossed.<<< Well, how would you feel in his situation, knowing that the butterfly ballot chipped away 10 to 20 thousand of your votes? I'm sure he had feelings deep down inside. But it didn't affect his public posture, did it? >>>If he was honestly sincere about the "will of the Fla. voter bs he was spouting, he would have publicly thrashed that Seminole case. He did nothing True? True!<<< Why would he do that with the trial still in the mill and possibility that the GOP operatives could have created "mischief," as James Baker is fond of saying, in the process? As normal, you're giving Gore short shrift. For some strange reason, you think the Democrat canvassing boards, with the eyes of the entire world upon them, are more apt to create "mischief" than a couple of GOP operatives, camped out unsupervised in the office of the county's voter databank and chief election technology officer. You must be fair and balanced like FoxNews--LOL! >>>And no, please don't respond because I know you have a pact with Gore to never admit to anything negative. I tried to take you off ignore for a while but it's easier to see "this message has been ignored" than total partisanship.<<< Too bad, as I was in the midst of responding to your first paragraph, when I came across your insulting last paragraph. Look, you make your own standards. I don't make them for you. If eliminating an opposite opinion from your consciousness makes you a better person, that's up to you. By the way, I didn't vote for Gore. He'd be a second- or third- tier favorite on my list as to who should be president. However, I sincerely believe he got screwed "big-time" in the Florida election. It was my opinion before the election that Bush, as president, would be bad for people. After witnessing his behavior post-election I've concluded he could on by an Ugly American president and horrible for people. It's this last paragraph as to why I've posted so much on this thread. It had little to do with Gore--until GOPwingers began screwing him in the Florida election. That's my opinion. You're welcome to ignore it or me, if you like. But doing that won't change the fact that my opinion is shared by half or more of this nation!
