Thanks for the tip on Best Buy. What I like to do is wait and see if I can get a good deal after Christmas when everyone is trying to get rid of their inventory. I don't even know what I want, so I have to do some comparison shopping. Pentium or Athlon? DVD or CDROM? Which graphics card? Stuff like that. But so far everything I am seeing seems dirt cheap - I remember when you couldn't buy a respectable computer with monitor for less than $2500 - I am sure you do, too. I think I paid around that for a 286 with a 40 meg hard drive.
