I might have paid almost $3000 for the 386 my husband is using for DOS games. I know I paid almost $3000 for the first Pentium computer I bought - and around $1000 for a PII, didn't need a monitor since the old ones worked fine.

tippet -

I have a 386 upstairs that I gave to my son -- I paid more than 2500 ... I think it was closer to 3000

I still have a mere printer, an NEC Spinwriter, that was $3700 in 1980 dollars. Long since out of service, it was purchased for use with a 4MHZ Z-80 computer with audio cassette mass storage and 16K of memory.

Regards, Don
