They started by heaving rocks at a group of prayers at the Western Wall (typically, women, children and older gents), from the top of the wall (which is their Mosque, where, mind you, there are no lose stones around, all imported stones from outside the wall) and I have seen still pictures of these. Now they are mostly throwing stones at soldiers which are well protected most of the time by shields, it becomes problematic when the Palestinian militzia, which was allowed to bear arms (Typically, Israeli citizens (civilians) are not allowed to bear arms, like in England, but soldiers are required to travel with their arms, even on leave) start shooting, and even worse, when they run cars down the road and shoot their occupants (they just did it last week, but we were too busy with Florida to notice).
