Stage 2 alert, and today was Saturday. Monday could be very interesting as cooler weather moves in. I was having lunch with several fellow 3Com engineers on Friday. I brought up the subject of the stage 3 alert on Thursday. These people, presumably among the more intelligent Californians, apparently bought the bill of goods spewed out by the media - that the energy situation is short lived and all will be fine once the maintenance is completed on the various power generation plants that are currently out of service. It would appear that actual rolling blackouts would need to be enacted before the seriousness of the situation actually hits home. Warp
