Apollo,

there hasn't been any compelling information brought forward here to best answer the question as to whether the PC desktop/notebook MPU by Intel represents proprietary architecture that the value chain MUST have.

If you tell us the percentage of desktop/notebook MPUs that aren't sold or licensed by Intel, I think you'll have your compelling information.
