The statement that the "military won't support him" in a democracy is meaningless.

The military is duty bound to follow orders. And they will "respect" any commander-in-chief.

After all, we didn't see any military men attempting to kill Lyndon Johnson, even though he was trying to kill them. That surely speaks volumes as to the military's self-discipline.
