this may be only marginally related to your post, but i was pretty surprised today when i was flipping around the news channels and caught the tail end of some newcaster saying that an organization, whose name i cannot remember as it was one i am unfamiliar with, is attempting to get Christmas removed from the list of national holidays sanctioned by the u.s. government as it is a 'religious holiday' i think the newscaster said. i apologize for not having anything more concrete to add, as it was something i caught the tail end of and have not looked up on the web yet. if anyone has heard of this, please chime in, as i am interested in looking up the group that is proposing this. -not meant to be a statement for or against as i have never thought about this issue-
