I opine that you wouldn't have thought that when Luther first nailed his theses up. If you had been around then you would probably have called him a madman. Which, in a way, he was. It was an age for madmen.

TG,

David Koresh was a terrorist and deserved what he got

This country used to try people first. Sending in the tanks and being part of mass murder is something new.

What is it about Koresh that gives rise to so much blood thirst among the people on the left?

Joe

"David Koresh was a terrorist and deserved what he got"

Ah, Greg, just what terrorist act did Koresh commit? I must have missed that. Did he bomb a building or something? You being a man of facts, I am sure you can provide us with the "terrorist" act he commited. If you can't, please recuse yourself from further comment on anything based on facts.

But don't be like Ron Noble, assistant Secretary of the Treasury, and deeply involved with the attack, directing the BATF forces at the time, who, when asked later why they couldn't have served the warrant in a reasonable manner, said "Well, they had guns, and, ah, er....there is a McDonalds in Waco...." as if that explained it all. Anyone with guns is certainly likely to shoot up a McDonalds, if there is one nearby, aren't they?

And I am not building a monument to Koresh. He means nothing to me. As I have previously stated, this isn't about feelings, it is about expecting the govt to behave correctly, according to the law.
