OSX's move from 120 area to <100 was I suspect motivated by the following:

Seasonal selling by non believers following energy prices

Tax loss selling and fund selling to avoid capital gains

Market manipulation. I imagine allot of investors saw a rising OSX Aug/Sep and bought calls for Nov/Dec, hoping to get out before the peak in prices. Who do you think wrote all of the calls? Im guessing the same holders of large holdings of drillers/high profile service companies.

The worldwide rig count has been at a level for three months that will support strong earnings, especially for GOM NG focused drillers. If this count breaks 2,000 then I will start worrying.
