What he's saying is that because a machine couldn't read them they aren't "legally cast votes"! Incredible logic. Hitler would have loved someone who thought like this

And you think that Gore could possibly have any hope of uniting this country. I have never heard Bush call anyone thug or Nazi. You are a vile piece of S%%%%T. You are a fascist and a NAZIS in full uniform

Actually no, that's what the instructions said.

Punch your card and check for mistakes before turning in your vote or it will not be counted.

"What he's saying is that because a machine couldn't read them they aren't "legally cast votes"!

Doesn't matter whether they were legally cast or not. They didn't register with the voting machines, then there was a recount. Still didn't register, and the LAW allowed for 4 more days to get selective hand re-counts. Still didn't have enough votes. The FL SC gave Gore TWELVE more days to get the re-counts. Bush wins again.

How can you argue that Al should be able to keep counting regardless of any deadlines, particularly when the law allowed for selective re-counts of his choosing? Do you just keep challenging the standards until there are enough votes? Even with the extra time, he SUED the very democratic canvassing boards that had the discretion to choose their methods of counting a vote.

Do you honestly believe a fair counting method is the one proposed by an $800/hr lawyer working for the candidate? Is that how you achieve fairness?

I would be most interested in your thoughts on any of these points.
