My computer blew up when I attempted to look up the meaning of "neodigitechnophobia". It started spitting out CD's and floppy disks and shooting them across the room at me as I tried to duck for cover. After the smoke stopped coming out of back of the tower, an error message popped up on my monitor that read, "Syntax Error! If you ever enter that long word again, I will begin shoving resistors, DRAM, heat-sinks, up you humaniod wazzoo. ...followed by the mouse and keyboard... Back off humaniod!" Good golly! I don't know what to do. My computer may kick my arse. I'm frightened. I'm tempted to try to look up what type of phobia I now have, but I'm too scared. I have the fear of looking up phobias on my computer. Is there a word for this? My PC is rather pissed off right now. Apparently that big word "neodigitechnophobia" isn't in my outdated dictionary yet... Otherwise, my computer agrees with everything that you wrote. But it also agreed with everything Polvo wrote. I guess my computer is middle-of-the-road just like it's owner... ...except when it comes to looking up big words. Then it becomes an extremist... -ClappyTheTechnoExtremophobe P.S. Went into the big city last night. Saw the tree in Rockefeller Center. Pretty, but not nearly as big as last year. We saw a woman who was crying hysterically. We asked her what was the matter. She said that she couldn't find her 13 year old son. The crowds of people made it impossible. A security guard took her aside and I guess they were trying their best to find her child. I can't get the vision of this poor woman out of my head. It was an ocean of people smiling looking at the tree, walking past her, not noticing her. She was all by herself. We kept looking around for a kid who looked equally as freightened, but we could not find one. Please put this woman and child in your prayers. Hopefully they are already back together. One of the scariest things I've ever witnessed... Later we went to Madison Square Garden to see the show "A Christmas Carol". The kids loved it. I didn't think they did such a great job. Saw the Christmas show at Radio City last year. It was much better. Not just because they have the Rockettes, but also a better visual and sounding show. We walked by Times Square and later made the mistake of trying to drive through it. Millions of poeple walking around. Took me 45 minutes to go 4 blocks. The Nasdaq building is the coolest. I'm always amazed when I see it. Billions of CREE leds making the entire building like a TV screen. Talk about Neotechnowhateverthewordis. Amazing... I was glad to get home safe and sound. Gave my kids an extra hug and kiss before putting them to bed. I have a lot to be thankful for. We all do. Hopefully many people will be able to get past the election B.S. and concentrate on what's really important. P.P.S. My computer is too angry to spell check this long post. Assume all words are spelled correctly... :^)
