Story 5172 =DJ Sun Microsys Dn -2: Analyst Comments Also Hurt Stk

Friday morning, Briefing.com said "a prominent short-selling report" was pressuring Sun's stock in the pre-market. An analyst who declined to be named also pointed to the same report, which talked about slowing sales at Sun distributors.

Also Friday, Sanford C. Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi published a research note on Sun suggesting that Sun may be losing ground to Intel on some low-end products. Though Sacconaghi said he is confident that Sun will meet or beat its first-quarter revenue growth rate of 60% in the second quarter, and though he maintained his "outperform" rating on the stock, his words were seen as another factor contributing to the stock's weakness Friday.

JC - you continue to mischaracterize my remarks, which were a general description of my investment and diversification style in response to a post by Yaacov. I never at any time (in that series of posts or elsewhere) suggested that I had an equity position in SUNW.

But in retrospect, anyone who had a majority of their investment in SUNW would have done well selling some of their position at 120 or so, don't you think? That profit is one of the few bright spots in my portfolio this year, and it would have evaporated if I had waited.
