A fantasy, because it doesn't exist.

Then tell me, if we are not running a surplus now, what is that excess of income over expenditures called?

A pure hallucination.

One of the finest of our times.

If I ran a personal budget in the same manner with the same math I would get arrested.

This is in topic, what happens in the next 24 hours will affect our country, as Bush's electors will be confirmed by Fla. no later then Tues. then it really applies, the original post that I put up points out my own opinion that the new federal government needs to take this up as it's top priority. Why do I say that? Because it is true, we need to look at this country in the long term, and not by using some political public relations scheme that "shows" a "surplus". I like the way America is economically, there is no reason why we cannot continue to prosper. The future can be bright. The country will fail horribly if we have a president that cannot tell the truth, cannot help but embellish to death a subject. Bush has a great team, honest, experienced and dedicated.

We are headed towards one of the most conservative periods in the history of our country.

I am quite pleased at this, perhaps you will see the light and come out of your dreamlike state that seems to insist that numbers with no reason or fact make a prosperous country.

Only an administration that can see what truth and reality is when dealing with our nations finances do we stand a chance in the future, we've gotten away with a lot in this regard for a number of years, what will it take, a ten trillion dollar debt, 15, 20 before we go down?

I don't know if Bush can correct this, I only know that Gore will not.

And that is where the Supreme Court of the United States and the Electoral College come in, at least we'll have a chance.
