Cobalt, thats just nitpicking; Reagan was a professional actor and that is exactly what he did, however you might say that FDR was the first "information age" president due to the powerful results of his "fireside chats".

Do you REALLY believe that these pols don't watch replays of their public performances endlessly and thereby attempt to improve their delivery (just like an actor or a good litigator). And of course they "psyche themselves up" for such preformances, just go down to Barnes and Nobles, I bet that you will find hundreds of "how to" books on the subject.

How you find this sinister is beyond me.
