Scumbria, I try not to think about the US Supreme Court too much. W's expressed admiration of Scalia and Thomas is the one thing that makes me most suspicious of him. Conservatives love to whine about the SC as much as anything, but there's no counterpart on the other side to the Scalia/Thomas/Rehnquist ideologue faction. Of course, there's no counterpart on the other side to the Rush/Drudge/WSJ/Washington Times bloviating pundit faction either. That's all the fault of Jim's liberal media conspiracy, I think.

It's all a pretty bad joke. One mustn't besmirch the legitimacy of the Bush Restoration, but SC-sanctioned political harassment via civil lawsuits is more than cool. Who knows, maybe there'll be a job for Starr's junior law partner who ran the Paula Jones suit on the outside in W's administration too.
