Being a Libertarian has nothing to do with wanting the Libertarian Party to hold and exercise power, but rather ensuring that the central government has so little power that it cannot interfere with the freedom and prosperity produced by co-operating and competing individuals. Any form of government that depends on the perfectibility of human nature is doomed to failure.
