What's wrong with simple? After calling my argument simplistic, you then talk about the state and condition of the attached chad as revealing the intent of the voter. What confusing hogwash! The only true intent is a fully removed chad (its a problem with the counting system if it erroneously picks up hanging chads, I concur) and the longer these ballots are handled the less accurate the count is (as chads separate from the ballot). In short, the first count was the most legitimate, and resultant moves to confuse the situation by Gore supporters are an attempt to steal the election. BTW, mining for votes by contesting the vote in a county you already won by 15-20 percent is another way to steal an election.
