The value chain formed around Siebel's design of the architecture instead of another company's design. Just want to pass on some anecdotal evidence of Siebel's value chain.... Last month, Sprint PCS had a day-long investor's meeting in which they gave details about future applications that wireless would enable. They stressed the value that wireless connections would have to the business community....interestingly, they mentioned Siebel by name multiple times. Access to Siebel software was used to illustrate the utility of the wireless web for a traveling salesman. I think it may have been the only company-specific example that they gave. Slacker
