Ellen, I think we have entered a point where we are in big trouble. Had you noticed that Republicans are now setting machinery into motion that aims to prevent the Florida ballots from being examined under the Sunshine laws? There is no limit to how far they will sink in pursuit of power.

This is what really scares me. If the ultimate court cannot rise above partisanship to rule dispassionately and lawfully, we are all in very big trouble.

Ellen, the courts have always been and will continue to be partisan and passionate. Both the FLSC and the USSC

The only way you get a high court is to chosen by a particular party in power. This make sure that the people sitting on the bench are biased to a certain degree.

To me that is the most important part of chosing a president. Who will they put on the bench? A liberial or a conservative?

That has been show in this election. The FLSC rewiting FL law to make sure Gore wins and the USSC stopping them from doing it.
