No problem, eh? Well, in that case...

...do you see CPQ, DELL and possibly HWP as buys right now? Hell -- even AAPL and GTW, for that matter.

BTW: You surely realize DELL carries no inventory ... it's that build-to-order business model sans hefty costs of reliance on distribution channels ... foundation of the company itself ... remember? "Dell Direct." <g>

I remember that when similar rumors re CPQ stuffing the channels surfaced in Dec. '98 that indeed were true; started showing up in the earnings from CPQ's main retailers, vehemently denied by Eckhard Pfieffer. (<g> If I misspelled his name, forgive me ... it's been so long since I last referred to him).

I held out until Feb. 1999 and bailed on my long zish in CPQ (fairly substantial % of my port at time) to take profits @ $34.

Re RMBS: Yeah. I posted my own rationale two months ago on old Porch, which has been 'renamed' by Uncle Frank, in case you missed that <g>

Which are:

RMBS could easily become a house of cards based on litigation.

RDRAM may or may not become standard, and the longer the litigation uncertainty persists, the more likely that competing technologies will gain market share. Therefore "splintering" the proprietary "advantage" RMBS currently(?) or once enjoyed.
