TP, I should add that certain tech stock like MSFT will rise on a Bush win.

The political aspect of a chance of a Gore win is that Bush will trigger a constitutional crisis and a fight in both houses of Congress for the nomination of next President....... which will be messy and prolong uncertainty into January.

That is why tech stock fall more as the lower P/E stocks. If there would be no threats from Bush and his cohorts of a Mob induced Florida Electors slate, tech stock would rally with any Gore win and the other fall. Longer term Gore flawor of presidency will better reward tech stocks ..... remember he invented the Internet <GGGGG>. On the other hand Bush is just a pupet in the hands of "Big Business" which lost ground under Clinton.

Just take a close look at DD, IP, CAT XON, etc. they all substantially outperformed the NAZ since September by a substantial amount.

Remember pair trading is very popular now and the short/long position just reversed.

WS always has a wicket way to react to news.
