My feeling is that as this case gets analyzed over the next year or two that the tide will shift to a more conservative interpretation of the law that is more in line with the majority of the US SC. It will be bad for the dems imo because when you take the emotion out of it people will see that the ultimate ruling was indeed fair, and based on the laws on the book at the time of the election.

Also, when all of the rhetoric from this period is analyzed I think that the comments of Bush and Baker will seem pretty tame compared to the hatred and lies spewed by Jackson, Wexler, Daley, Gore, etc.

I challenge you or anyone to show where Bush has lied to the American public regarding this fiasco OR changed his position on this. I can name a few times for Gore. If you would like we can have a contest.
