Your prediction is right on the money. The stay that was issued is essentially Monday's decision. Politics aside, they are making the decision in an attempt to provide an expedient.

The Court didn't want the votes counted to ensure that there would be no citizen unrest should their decision go contrary to what the vote counts would show.

I disagree with that view point, but unlike others, I am not going to play fair weather fan of courts and judges. A ruling by the US Supreme Court is final and that's all there is to it.

I believe you are a reasonable person and probably can accept any ruling by the US SC. Is that right?

I only take a bet that I have some chance of winning...this one's a done deal.

The bulk of the opinion has probably been written and they will only edit it to reflect any unexpected arguments they might hear tomorrow.
