In the case of FL...the punch card system seems pretty crappy. I suppose if you wanted Bush to win, you argue for the machine count. If your a Gore person you try to "manufacture" votes through hand recounts because you have no other choice. You force this by calling out your Lawyers. Then the other side has to get some Lawyers.

Florida law says the hand counts are more accurate. Your charges of manufacturing votes are absurd. Hand recounts are the appropriate remedy in this case. Bush is trying to hold on to his meaningless 150 vote lead, and is compromising our democracy in the process.
