TG, should the Supreme Court rule in favor of Gore, I think we would all accept it and move forward. Disgruntled? Yes. Disgusted? Yes. Determined to oust Gore in 2004? Yes.
But we love our country too much, and would do all in our power to do right by her and preserve her freedom.

We would not, however, agree with them. Why? For the reasons outlined by Judge Wells in the Florida dissenting opinion.
And for the reasons that the manual recount was unfair: no uniform and trustworthy method prevails in the state of Florida. Prime example: Suzanne Gunzberger.

If the United States Supreme Court ruled that the manual recount should resume, I think they would be doing it for sound legal reasons. I respect the integrity of the United States Supreme Court.

I did answer the question in full, there can be no other ruling as we will see afternoon Monday.

Your question is like:
What if Cisco was sold to Bill Gates for a dollar?
A moron might go:
Well, duh, it could happen.
and even come up with a reasoning plausible maybe.
But it doesn't make any sense to even consider it because it just wouldn't happen.

We have a Supreme court that has its roots in the constitution, is guided by the constitution and rules with the constitution as a guideline and uses no other standard.

Bush won the election according to the constitution and the law of this land, he won the election according to the constitution and the laws of the State of Florida.

He was certified under those standards legally by the officials that are given the authority to do so and they discharged their duties admirably.

There is no room for stupid questions in this subject.

If the US Supreme Court were to rule in favor of Gore, would they be doing their job and what would you think of the Supreme Court?

I would say that there was no CLEAR Constitutional reason for them to overturn the Florida Supreme Court. That doesn't mean that the FSC was correct in their interpretation of Florida Law. I believe that it would then fall on the Florida Legislature to determine what to do.
