The old laws may no longer be on the books. Roe v. Wade was 30 years ago, wasn't it? I think 1972. So if the state codes have been revised they may not reenact the laws. But if they are still there they are enforceable.

Depends on the states.

Agree with you about the sodomy laws. I don't think anyone will have the political will to have them removed from the books here in Virginia in the foreseeable future, not with Jerry Falwell leading the pack. I promise if I am ever elected to the Legislature - which will be never - I would submit a bill to have them struck down.

The "sunset" idea may be the best way to deal with it.
