spek, i'd argue that your city's dwellers WERE making money hand over fist in the market. many of them deumped their savings into a naz above 4k, as did at least one person on this thread. also, the 100% confidence that markets ALWAYS go up has been shaken. badly.

i continue to argue that the last 9 months have erased about all of the last 8 years' worth of market gains. how? if you buy 1 share low and buy 50 high, a 50% retracement wipes you out.

Spek, I've been hearing that traffic is down, but the mall I hang at is packed to the gills. To be fair, it is the top mall in Houston and may not be representative of the others, as The Galleria gets a large influx from Mexico and Latin America during Xmas.

Yes, Over thankgiving I saw the same thing.
Malls were very crowded to my liking,
BUT were not INSANELY crowded like they were last year.

Look at some of the retail stocks. ANF for example.
We are headed down IMHO.
