I agree that the FSSC is an embarrassment.

Had Harris waited a few more hours, it would have been a terrific symbolic gesture. I have seen little evidence of either side attempting to reach any compromise or reaching out to the other.

It is scary how polarized this is becoming.

Victor, we will only get 4 years of non corrupt government before it changes. Earl Long (ex gov of La) once said "The people need good clean government every once in a while just to remind them that really isn't what they want".

May not have that exactly right but close.

I have to wonder if Kennedy would have won over Nixon on a recount or if Nixon had taken the road Gore has taken.

I also have to wonder why the dems kept the antiquated voting machines in place if not to enable this type situation. Even in backward Louisiana we have the GOOD machines. We sold our old ones to some country in South America and Edwin Edwards won the first election down there.
