Famous past bear markets:

Message 14931704

600 to 700 days are very likely...and the current bear is no "short" bear market (< 150 days)...

Friday afterhours was in response to the Florida Supreme Court decision.
Saturday's US Supreme Court stay fairly vacated that decision
and threw the election back into Mr Bush's favor.
Monday's action should be restrained pending the final US Supreme court decision.

Aufwiedersehen,
Das

Deleted. OT Jane, the doubling just happened to me. I punched submit, decided to edit and thought I stopped it in time. Message went through faster than SI let on. Could that be your problem, too?

InfoStream,

Evidence via sentiment that a top is now taking place?

siliconinvestor.com

Note the article supports only one of the two suggested pillars of this rally. Its contention that investors are hoping that the worst of earnings warnings is over is not given another clause. Seems to me we're roughly 1/3 the way through 4Q warnings season. Seems like frothy language to me. What's your take on that? Is the market pricing this in along with Bush and an easier Al? What does it mean when the NAZ takes out 3000? The few technicians I've checked think the bottom is in, bear market over, if 3000 holds for a few days.

Getting clobbered by VRSN, but it was only a few puts. My long gains have more than made up for it.

Cheers, Tuck
