I've read this quote three or four times this weekend and have fallen off my chair laughing each time. This guy can't possibly be this naive, can he? Tell me he just forgot the little grinnie thing at the end.

>"Any time Qualcomm puts out a press release, you’re going to see a good amount of spin," said Larry Swayse, senior vice president of Allied Business Intelligence, a market research firm in Oyster Bay, N.Y.<

Oh, I see. And who is spinning what? What qualifies your opinion as a valid one? A market research firm? I'd say that a large part of the financial community, and a growing segment of the world would differ. Are we name calling? Careful, Q may have more than just patent attorneys.

>"Investors need to do a lot more homework, especially now, when there’s a lot of heat on most wireless companies to present themselves in the best possible light."<

Especially at&t. Constantly falling on it's face because it keeps falling off the tech ladder. It was determined to force the world into it's little mold, and still retains the arrogance to do the same. Investors are voting with their $$$$$, and guess who is getting the most votes? We know how to count!

>Then Swayse, who says his firm has worked for both companies, said more. He called Qualcomm "pretty much a company of patent lawyers. They may be confusing people who aren’t involved in the wireless industry intimately," he said.<

No, this is an attempt by your 'marketing research firm' to confuse those "who aren't involved in the wireless industry intimately,". No confusion here, because we have the light of day, and our CDMA signal is loud, broad, and clear.
Sounds like they didn't let his 'firm' past the receptionist at the front door. If anything, this was printed to expose the lunacy and ignorance of this individual. What a hack! I bet there are more than a few people who work there (QCOM) that wouldn't be lawyers if someone threatened to cut off their hands. And even fewer would work for a market research firm if they threatened to cut off their tes....well, you know. In reality, some were going to be lawyers, but they got smart. : )

No offense to you lawyers out there. I think you discern my intent.

Q rocks, and will roll with the punches...again...
