Total disincentive for cablecos to spend billions on upgrade. Similar to the nightmare the ILECs face. IMO I think SBC should own outright those billion dollar NGDLC pipes they are building too. Thanks for the Mike Powell notes. This all bears further watching. Tauzin, from a curosory glance, seems quite motivated to get broadband rolling. But then again, he may only be shooting from the hip at this point. It's easy to do when you are not chairmen but a second guesser. Ray- Powell's son I know nothing about.
