Interesting article. The main points have been known for some time. Not really too surprising - I imagine things like that happen every election. Doesn't make it right. Has Kurtz written anything about the AP reporter who reached Gore in his motorcade (after his private concession to Bush) on his way to publicly concede?

He/she is the one who told Gore's people that they were making a mistake and that Florida was much closer than thought. The Gore people in Florida obviously thought he lost (otherwise why concede?). The reporter was right, it was "too close to call." THAT was probably THE most important phone call of the election. Without it, Gore would already have publicly conceded, making it near impossible to continue fighting when he realized the mistake the next day.
