The Rehnquist Court is s_t_r_e_t_c_h_i_n_g to find a federal question where none exists. The Florida Court is not encroaching on the power of the Florida Legislature. The legislature has already exercised the power granted to it by the Constitution in deciding the electors will be selected by popular vote. The Court has merely interpreted the election contest law in a way which allows for the most accurate count possible.
