scott...you sure it was barton biggs???? my first reaction was as yours..."contrarian indicator".....but at these levels he needs to fall more in line with the overall msdw line, of getting clients into new positions? as i stated last week...we have entered a sixty day period in which the bottoming action will occur, providing there is no earth shaking geo political events.... the threads got very bearish recently, what with bottom selling and put buying...most of the bearish posts were from those who thought there was no top to the market in late 99, early 2000... still cautious but, much less then in march and april... good luck ed a
