Announces the Acquisition of Kelly's Coffee & Fudge LONGVIEW, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 2000--Restaurant Teams International, Inc. (NASD OTC BB: RTIN), announced today the acquisition of Kelly's Coffee and Fudge of Beverly Hills, a 26-unit franchise operation of coffee houses located throughout Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada. Kelly's, founded in 1985 by Terry Kelly, recently came on hard times, having filed for reorganization this month in federal bankruptcy court in Los Angeles, California. RTIN expects reorganization to be complete by the end of the first quarter of 2001. RTIN spokesman, Curtis A. Swanson, stated: ``We first visited with Kelly's ownership several months ago in Los Angeles. At that time, we were considering a market partnership to franchise Kelly's novel concept in Texas. However, under our new arrangement, we will own all the rights to Kelly's concept, following its successful reorganization in bankruptcy. We are looking forward to implementing a growth plan for this concept once the reorganization is complete.'' Restaurant Teams International, Inc., d.b.a. RTIN Holdings, is a public holding company whose stock trades on the fully reporting NASD OTC BB.
