ramps, I wonder if there is not some larger issue involved in the particular downgrading of INSP (and perhaps, others announced today by ML). One factor cited by someone on the thread is that the ML report noted that it wasn't receiving any "visibility" from the company (presumably INSP) "with regard to usage of the wireless services INSP offers through the carriers...." Does this mean that, in accordance with new SEC rules, INSP is not providing private guidance to analysts anymore? Could it be that ML's action is a blatant attempt to undermine the SEC rule, which it and other brokerage houses seek to have revoked. Their argument is grounded on the proposition that private investors are deprived of information needed to protect their investments if, in advance of public disclosure of information, brokerages are unable to digest that information in order to provide expertise to investors (clients?). How better to provide evidence to insure self-fulfillment of its prophecy?... Assuming this to be the case, were Jain, Sarin or Russ to issue an affirmation of the efficacy of INSP's business plan, including a pre-announcement of quarterly/annual estimates of revenues, earnings, etc., perhaps the damage done by ML could be reversed...Just a thought.
