Herb on Cree
Cree-ton Alert: Hearing from lots of Cree (CREE:Nasdaq - news - boards) investors since my recent Cree item , telling me that everybody does related party-like deals the way Cree does it. To which I say: OK, if everybody else does it please tell me who, what, when, where and why and I'll investigate because it means red flags should be flying over them, too! ...

Send letters to the editor to letters@realmoney.com.

Of course CREE has gone up since Herb's short buddies make the call so they must be under pressure.

Jack

Re: options and Cree. I bought the Jan/2001 40 call today and bought the Jan/2001 40 put. Hoping to make some dough off this straddle when CREE rises to fifty in the next twenty days or so. (Combination of election relief, semi relief, good news, etc.)

Or, I will make money when CREE collapses over the next twenty days (election continues, semis collapse, bad news. etc.

My only enemy is that CREE trades within a narrow range. But, hey, that is not the CREE way. <g>

How about: "Anyone can make a small fortune in options, if they start with a large fortune."
