Worse than those myths is the myth that AIDS in a male is cured by sleeping with a virgin which prevails in many African cultures. African women are as independent as American women, unless in a Muslim area. The solution is to smash their outdated religious icons into the ground. Then we will be able to make them more like us. Much the same way we did with the heathen Indians here in North America. A few golden arches, some Wal-Marts and cable t.v. would set things right. Pretty soon they will self actualize. They will need psychiatrists and ship loads of Prozac but it could happen.
