David, Getting back to IDX, (forget this election nonsense) does BGB's scenario sound legitimate? I'd have to say 'yes' only because nobody knows what the future has in store for us, and MSFT has a history of crushing rivals and taking stuff from smaller companies to use for themselves. At this point in time, however, I don't think there is real evidence of MSFT working up their own biometric suite of software to integrate into the OS. Am I right or wrong about that?

On the other hand, IDX has been 'in the thick of it' with MSFT and their salesmen (2000 of them) are traveling around the country with computers using IDX hardware and software. And Isit made the point that 80% of the biometrics in use is our stuff so why would MSFT want to try and overturn that? (I know why - to make money!) They might want to try and do that because biometrics is not well-established and 'ubiquitious' yet and is their market to take away from IDX.

Ultimately, all we can do is wait and see how the game plays out.

Rick

David... It's important never to confuse people with the facts. Denies them their inalienable right to live within the limitations of selective knowledge - a noble American tradition, I'm sad to say. I do hope, however, that we stop sending nuclear waste to Idaho as I believe there has been some leakage in the Twin Falls area affecting certain of its citizens. I'd be glad to say they should the stuff in the Hudson River and destroy it, but GE beat them to it with PCB's... under whose Presidency was that??
In any case, I haven't a clue as to what MSFT is or isn't doing, but it did seem to me that BGB had an interesting take on what could happen.
Do you think it's worth noting that IDX value has dropped considerably even in a market that's anticipating a Bush victory? Nah...
