Either way the Democratic Party wins ... if the ballots are counted at a later date ... or if the uncounted ballots somehow "disappear" after Bush is sworn in on Jan. 20. Actually, a latter-case scenario probably would help Dems at the polls more in two years, because such a cover-up would indeed, as you speculate, lead to major voter indignation.

Bush already has been politically gelded. He will never be seen as the legitimate president by more than half of the American people regardless of what he does or how well he does his job.

"The fix" was in from the get-go. Repubs will reap what they sow.

Actually, the first person I heard suggest burning the ballots was Pat Caddell, the Democratic pollster. I think he is right. Those inclined will cause trouble regardless. Why give them the opportunity to exploit the ballots, when we are fighting exploitation of the ballots in the first place?
