It's a little late in the game for "reasoned discussion", which was obviously the aim of the Florida Bush machine all along. The SC will rule the way it rules, and Scalia will deliver what "legitimacy" he can. And if W has any luck, he'll deliver a couple more 30-something Scalia/Thomas types to join the current block of 3 right wing ideologues on the court, with lifetime appointments. "Best man for the job", as W's father said. I suppose you'll say that all the negative opinions you've delivered on Gore are just market judgements, too. Nothing personal, and all that. Whatever. Just entertainment for me, just like watching W dance with DeLay and Lott for the next couple years is going to be. Think Katherine Harris might rate as the next "best man for the job"? She's legally infallible too, I hear.
