"I'm not so sure that I understand what the Government's interest would be in influencing biometric standards, API's, etc., in purely commercial settings. That is what the remainder of your post implies. Yes? "

Better yet, are you saying that MSFT would be incapable of developing biometric software that would be compatible with whatever API or standard that the government might want to promote?

Worries

BGB,

I'm worried about a possible Gore administration deciding that FBI fingerprint checks are no longer important...because so few of Gore's appointments could pass one. This may lead to getting rid of any concern within the government....and thus slow the growth of the technology.

And I'm worried about IDX being located in California....a big earthquake zone. I can see some production problems if there is an earthquake. I think there were over 50 tremors in California today....I know there were....in fact.

Did IDX go down today because of a possible earthquake?

And I have not heard any statement from McCashion in over 3 weeks...I'm worried that he might be re-considering his position at IDX. Maybe he got duped.

What do you think......does this help you define "scummer"?

bg

ps. IDX was up $1.00 on Friday.
