niceguy, my position on AMD's specific situation (great chip, small market share) is that much of this could have been avoided, had the company made better decisions. They have done some things well, but have fallen short in many departments. Matter of fact, the only department that has performed well is them chip makin' guys - and now it looks as if things are starting to slip. Still, even that falls back on Jerry for setting unrealistic expectations for investors.

I'll hold a small portion of AMD for the time being, but will not increase my position until many fundamentals change on the way they run the 'rest' of their business. Might be my loss, for your sake, I hope so. :~>

But I seriously doubt anyone will be rushing to buy the stock. I'd seriously diversify if I were you. I've made back much of my AMD losses in the last month or so.

Regards and good luck,

Dave
