Hi Jorj,

I've seen other similar schemes suggested, some of them in MDU type buildings where tenants/co-op owners have put forth proposals to bring in high speed services. In NY City, about two years ago, it was quite chic for some residents to be able to say that they had a T3 coming into their basement, with 100 Mb/s Ethernet links feeding their individual apartments. Of course, they could have done just as nicely with 10 Mb/s, but who's counting? After a while these items stopped appearing in the press. I guess someone caught on that the security available through a landlord-adminstered hub that was mounted next to the slop sink in the basement was lacking something ;-)
